Every now and then I look at some of the “behind the scenes” parts of this blog and  I notice that the occasional user runs into trouble trying to print one of my activities that I’ve stored on Google Docs. Here’s a quick write up which I hope may help people troubleshoot the download process:
I share all of my activities on Google as “Anyone who has the link can view.”  I paste the link in the blog post.  If you click on the link in the blog post it will take you to the document. I usually attach that link to a picture in the post so you’re clicking a picture instead of a link.  You don’t need a google account to access the document. Once you are there,  you can simply click the print button on the left hand side of the screen to print the document. It should be just that simple.
If you want to share one of the activities with a co-worker, friend, your dog, etc. simply copy and paste the URL for the blog post with the activity you want to share and email the URL to them. Â For example, you can see where to find the URL for the Pig QR codes activity in the picture below:
Copy that link, paste it into your email and send it off. Â Your co-worker, friend, dog, etc. Â can then open the blog post, click the link and print the activity for themselves.
I’ve written other posts about sharing documents on Google Drive. You can find them here. If you get stuck, please feel free to email me or leave a comment and I’ll try to help as best I can!
